Candy Cane Roof Lights

If you’re in the spirit to be a little more creative, use red and white LED bulbs, or red and clear incandescent lights in an alternating pattern for a candy cane effect.

Things to Consider

LED lights should be chosen over incandescent bulbs. Not only are they the most economical option, but you can also string more LED light strings together than you can incandescent strings. That means fewer extension cords.

Set your Christmas (or Hanukkah) lights on a timer; that way, you don’t have to worry about remembering to flip the OFF switch.
